Letters to Julliet (movie review)

this is something that i did when i was still in high school, enjoy :)

Letters to Juliet was a movie that was produce in the year of 2010. This movie was directed by Gary Winick. The cast of the movie are Amanda Seyfried, Vanessa Redgrave, Christopher Egan, Franco Nero and many more.

This movie is generally about love and finding true love. It all started when a girl name Sophie went to Verona with her boyfriend Victor for their pre-honeymoon. But Victor was busy with his work, so Sophie went sight seeing alone. Then she went to the house of Juliet, and met the secretery of Juliet, a group of volunteers who respond to the letters written to Juliet seeking for romantic advice.

Sophie found and answers a letter that has been lost for 50 years. She was surprise when  the writer of the letter, claire arrives in Italy  with her grandson Charlie to find her long lost fiance Lorenzo. Sophie then join Claire and Charlie on their quest of finding Lorenzo. After many time failing on finding Lorenzo at last they found him. Lorenzo and Claire are united again and wanted to get married. Meanwhile Sophie and Charlie were actually in love but, Sophie was engaged. So when Sophie went back to New York  and got a wedding invitation from claire, Sophie realise that she was in love with Charlie and broke up with her boyfriend. This movie just like other romance movie have a happy ending.

Two of my favorite part of this movie is, first when Claire and Lorenzo finally met. Eventhough it’s been 50 years they were still in love. And second is when Sophie and Charlie did a scene similar to Romeo and Juliet and they finally admited that they love each other.

I sugest that you watch this movie if you like romance movie with a happy ending. Even though that there is a lot of movie that the genre is similar like this movie, but letters to Juliet is still worth it to watch. Because this movie teach us that it was never to late to find true love. And love is something universal, it doesn’t see what country you are from or what language that you speak. Love is something free and everyone could feel it. So don’t be afraid to fall in love.
